The Park Avenue Project

This apartment had everything a designer hopes for: pre-war bones, generous proportions, and a century's worth of architectural detail waiting to be honored. What it needed was a vision — and fortunately, the clients arrived with one already formed. Vintage, layered, timeless. They weren't interested in the new-and-matching approach. They wanted a home that felt as though it had been lived in and loved for decades.

From the start, this was a true collaboration. The clients had enormous influence over the aesthetic direction — not just approving selections, but actively shaping them. Together, we scoured 1stDibs for pieces with provenance and personality: vintage mirrors with the kind of patina that can't be manufactured, lighting that felt discovered rather than purchased, and made-to-order furniture that could hold its own alongside genuine antiques. Every decision was deliberate, every piece earned.

The result is a home that feels collected, not curated. Layered, not decorated. There is nothing here that doesn't belong.
