About the Item

A fine signed antique Chinese silver box. In solid silver. By Yang Qing He of Shanghai, active in the late 19th Century. Engraved to both the body and the lid with a dragon and a flaming pearl. Hallmarked to the base. Simply a wonderful Chinese export silver box! Date: Late 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is some slight dents and indentations to the base (possibly from the manufacturing process). Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Hallmarked to the base with 上 for Shanghai / 楊慶和 for Yang Qing He.
