Wrought iron Aesthetic style 19th Century Andirons or firedogs made in England

Located in London, GB

This pair of 19th-century andirons, crafted in England from wrought iron, is a beautiful and functional addition to any fireplace. With their robust construction and timeless design, they serve both as practical tools and as pieces that add historical charm to your hearth. The wrought iron showcases the craftsmanship of the era, with elegant detailing that complements traditional or rustic interiors. Despite their age, these andirons remain in good, usable condition, making them a functional choice while enhancing the character of your fireplace. The age-related wear on these andirons adds a unique patina, highlighting their long history and giving them a distinct character. The weathered iron, with its slight imperfections, tells a story of use over many years, making them a perfect conversation piece. Whether you're an antique collector or simply looking to add a touch of period elegance to your fireplace, these 19th-century andirons bring a sense of authenticity and charm that newer pieces can’t replicate. Large Reclaimed Antique Copper Planter with natural Patina
Large Reclaimed Antique Copper Planter with natural Patina

Large Reclaimed Antique Copper Planter with natural Patina

Located in Llanbrynmair, GB

A large reclaimed antique copper planter with a beautifully weathered surface and strong decorative presence. Circular in form and originally used as a wash tank, it has developed a rich patina with warm copper tones and areas of verdigris that give the piece depth and softness. The planter retains a visible historic patch repair and embossed gallon markings to the interior, both of which add to its character. It is not watertight, so if used indoors it should be paired with a secondary plant saucer or liner. Designer highlights • Large circular form with strong sculptural presence, lightweight yet sturdy with a folded top lip • Reclaimed antique copper with naturally developed patina • Originally a wash tank, with embossed gallon markings to the interior • Visible patch repair as part of its history • Suitable for decorative use outdoors or indoors (with appropriate liner) Finish & patina The copper surface shows a natural mix of warm brown, russet and soft green verdigris. Marking, tonal variation and the visible repair are all consistent with age and use, and form part of the planter’s naturally textured appeal. Placement A versatile decorative piece with enough presence to work in a range of interior or exterior settings. Design compatibility Its aged copper surface and simple circular form allow it to work equally well in traditional settings and more pared-back contemporary interiors, where antique patina can bring depth, warmth and contrast. It also sits naturally alongside timber, stone, brick and terracotta. Conservation & condition • Reclaimed antique piece with age-related wear • Historic patch repair visible; see photos • Surface oxidation, marks and tonal variation throughout • Not watertight; use a secondary saucer or liner indoors Provenance & sustainability Originally a wash tank, this planter has been reclaimed and repurposed for decorative use. Its reuse preserves the character of an antique utilitarian object while offering a more sustainable alternative to new production. Care & maintenance Wipe gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners, which may affect the existing patina. Trade notes One-off reclaimed piece. Measurements are approximate. Not watertight; if used indoors, a secondary saucer or liner is recommended. Inside height 38cm / 15″ x inner diameter 38.5cm / 15.25″ Catalog keywords Antique copper planter; reclaimed copper planter; verdigris planter...

Pair of Reclaimed Architectural Cast Iron Curved Railing Tree Guard Garden Piece
Pair of Reclaimed Architectural Cast Iron Curved Railing Tree Guard Garden Piece

Pair of Reclaimed Architectural Cast Iron Curved Railing Tree Guard Garden Piece

Located in Llanbrynmair, GB

A pair of reclaimed architectural cast iron railing sections with a distinctive curved form and strong garden presence. Retaining their original character, patinated black paint and weathered surface, this antique ironwork offers an attractive and versatile solution for use as a tree guard, garden structure or architectural garden detail. The two curved cast iron sections can be used together to form a protective tree guard, creating a practical yet characterful surround for a tree or planted area. Their shape also lends itself well to more imaginative garden design, including use as the base for a feature, or as a curved element within a gate, screen or boundary structure. Presented in their original form, the railings have an aged black painted finish with surface patina consistent with outdoor use. As period garden railing, the pair is particularly well suited to traditional gardens, period properties, courtyard settings and landscape projects where reclaimed materials add depth and interest. Cast lugs to each corner provide practical fixing options, allowing the sections to be attached to a wall, secured to posts, or incorporated into a bespoke installation. Their curved form means they can be used functionally or as a sculptural detail, depending on the setting. Whether arranged as a pair, adapted into a gate or screen, or used as the foundation for a garden focal point, this architectural salvage garden piece offers durability, versatility and genuine period appeal. Size as pictured together: H70cm x W81cm x D50cm. Origin and period: Reclaimed architectural cast iron, likely late 19th to early 20th century. Catalogue keywords reclaimed cast iron railing; architectural cast iron; cast iron tree...
