It´s in excellent condition. Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of Sweden’s most influential ceramic designers and artistic directors at Gustavsberg porcelain factory. Appointed in 1917, he transformed the company from traditional production into a leading center for modern Scandinavian design. Kåge is best known for his functionalist approach, combining refined aesthetics with everyday usability. His celebrated “Argenta” series, with its green-glazed surfaces and hand-painted silver decorations, remains highly sought after by collectors worldwide. Throughout his career, Kåge explored both utilitarian ware and experimental art ceramics, leaving a lasting legacy that helped define 20th-century Swedish design and establish Gustavsberg as an international design icon.
