About the Item

Entitled "Lady With Shawl" and registered as Model number 4914, this Lladro porcelain was manufactured in Spain and introduced in 1974 and retired in 1998. It was designed by renowned Spanish sculptor Fulgencio Garcia. The porcelain has a glossy finish with muted soft natural colors of blue, white, brown, and a has a pink white umbrella. On the underneath is the marking stamped patented "Lladro Made in Spain" logo and impressed "D-25 A". The subject matter depicts a young woman walking her dog with a leather (original) leash; with her cream colored shawl blowing in the wind. This is one of the more collectible and upscale Lladros and at 17" tall, one of the larger scale sculptures. There is no original packing box but it is completely original maintaining, even the little loose umbrella "handle" (see images) which slides on the underneath of the 6" brass pole before screwing it into the lady's left hand; after which the umbrella simply rests on the top of the stem.. The condition is excellent (like new) and there are no chips, cracks, touch up paint, or repairs of any kind. Umbrella or parts to it often broken or missing. Dimensions: 17" high x 6 1/2" wide x 7" deep Provenance: From my family in 1974 to my collection. Note: I am a second generation art and antiques dealer and have been in business for 50 years; I am also a member of several prestigious antique associations. Thus, I am well qualified to inspect and evaluate the products I offer for sale and I guarantee this to be authentic and as I have described.
