Elegant, slender stoneware vase with a two-part glaze – the upper section in glossy medium blue and the lower section with a darker crystalline texture in shades of blue and black. Origin: Sweden. Manufacturer: Upsala-Ekeby. Designer: Ingrid Atterberg. Material: Stoneware. Dimensions: H. 23 cm, D. 7 cm. Period: 1960s. Condition: Very good condition, minor signs of use. Ingrid Atterberg (born May 11, 1920 in Härnösand – died March 27, 2008 in Uppsala) was one of Upsala-Ekeby’s most prominent designers in the 1950s and 60s. She worked with pure, geometric forms and experimental glazes, often in blue tones, giving her works a timeless and sculptural quality.
