A striking, whimsical Italian art glass vase handcrafted on the island of Murano. The vessel is shaped like an abstract, elongated head with a multi-colored, textured body featuring deep purples, blues, and greens intermingled with shimmering, metallic inclusions. The expressive facial features—including vivid blue eyes with heavy lids, a stylized amber-brown nose, and bright red lips—are hot-applied glass pastes typical of Murano's sculptural tradition. The top of the vase is wound with a dark, continuous glass thread forming a spiral pattern, and the entire piece rests on a heavy, clear glass base.
