About the Item

Late 18th century Japanese Celadon charger with good patina. Good wear to the center of the plate and very fine crackle create a multi-layered hues to the glaze. Spur marks to the front of the plate in a radial pattern and an age crack. The ceramic body of the plate is very thick and well modeled. The rim is a 1/2 inch wide and the profile is well articulated. Overall look of an antiquity.
