About the Item

This Light and Dark Log Cabin quilt has more depth than the usual version of this pattern. The blocks are outlined with both red and indigo creating a frame around each of the diamond shape blocks. The placement of fabrics gives this quilt a nice dimensionality. All of the fabrics in the quilt are calico with the exception of the red used for the frame and border. The red border is quilted with diagonal lines. Measurements are 80 inches square. In excellent condition; Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880's.
