This 1950s industrial cage pendant light was manufactured by Killark and originally served aboard a U.S. naval warship during the Cold War. Founded in St. Louis in 1913, Killark became internationally respected for producing explosion-proof and hazardous-duty lighting for military, marine, and heavy industrial applications. Engineered to withstand the extreme conditions of life at sea, the fixture features a substantial polished aluminium gallery bearing cast manufacturer markings and surviving technical labels, characteristic of mid-century American naval engineering.
