About the Item

A large George II Style Giltwood Chandelier, the original model from Hamilton Palace, Scotland, probably designed by William Kent (1685-1748) and possibly made in the London workshops of Benjamin Goodison, with flaming urn finial surmount, each of the eight branches with fish-scale decoration, the acanthus carved body with rosette and scallop shell mounts. Re-wired. £5,000
