About the Item

A Swedish Gustavian style crystal chandelier, 19th century, featuring a classic tiered form adorned with cut crystal prisms in drop, oval, and square shapes. The central crown ring is encircled with suspended prisms, above a basket-form base that adds depth and visual movement to the composition. Six gracefully curved light arms extend outward, supporting candle-style lights, while additional crystal elements and sparklers enhance the fixture’s reflective quality. The chandelier is finished with a pinecone-form finial, a hallmark of Gustavian decorative lighting. The combination of faceted crystal and restrained neoclassical structure reflects the Swedish interpretation of late 18th-century French design, offering both elegance and architectural clarity. Wear consistent with age, including minor chips to prisms and light surface wear to metal components. Electrification present but not currently functional and should be updated. All lighting will be converted for US usage. We are unable to confirm UL listing at our facility. Dimensions: 27.2 H x 26 Diameter in.
