About the Item

An exceptional Murano glass table lamp attributed to the renowned Italian architect and designer **Gino Vistosi**, created in Italy around 1970. This sculptural piece perfectly embodies the innovative spirit of Italian design of the period, combining refined craftsmanship with a striking visual presence. Handcrafted on the island of Murano using traditional glassblowing techniques, the lamp features a substantial hand-blown glass shade decorated with delicate horizontal striations. The textured surface creates a mesmerizing optical effect, diffusing the light beautifully and producing concentric reflections when illuminated. The generous rounded form, reminiscent of a luminous vessel, gives the lamp a strong sculptural character whether switched on or off. The shade rests on a minimalist chrome-plated metal base, whose understated design enhances the purity and elegance of the glass. The combination of transparent Murano glass and polished metal is characteristic of the sophisticated Italian modernist aesthetic of the 1970s. The electrical system has been professionally inspected, revised, and brought up to current safety standards. For international buyers, a plug adapter for use in the United States will be included. A highly decorative and atmospheric lighting piece, ideal for a living room, bedroom, office, or design-focused interior. Its captivating light diffusion and timeless Italian design make it an excellent addition to both vintage and contemporary settings. **Condition:** Very good vintage condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. The glass remains beautifully preserved and free from significant damage. Dimensions: Height: 29 cm (11.42 in.) Diameter: 34 cm (13.39 in.)
