About the Item

An antique French Louis Philippe mirror, dating to the late 19th century. This mirror has mercury mirror glass, a black-painted wooden frame, a fine gilt edge, and a gently curved top typical of the Louis Philippe style. A special detail is the back, where the wooden panels show a brand mark from a French ice factory. This shows how reclaimed timber was used in the construction of the mirror, adding an extra layer of history to the piece. The black frame, gilt detail, and aged mirror glass give this mirror a strong antique look. A beautiful mirror that works in both classic and contemporary interiors.
