About the Item

English, 19th century (or earlier) bench constructed of expertly turned wood legs and stretchers. The rectangular and comfortable seat is presently dressed in a plain white canvas of lightly worn condition that is perfectly acceptable to continue using or reupholstered to your taste. Rings and swells in the turned wood dowels create an exciting sense of movement with visual interest from every perspective; a handsome solution as a bench, window seat, or ottoman in many rooms and decorating styles. There is some damage to the small bun feet, which rest on felt glides to protect them and the floor, and a repair on the front left leg. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition and message us with any questions.
