About the Item

Pair of French, 19th Century Painted Empire Chairs. When these were purchased our original plan was to have them upholstered in linen or a neutral fabric. When our upholsterer uncovered the original hessian bases our decision was made to leave and show the workmanship that went into this pair of chairs. Re sprung and webbed, these can be covered in your choice of fabric and we can support with this. With bronze lion paw feet and splat detail. France, circa 1880.
