About the Item

Sculptural small cabinets carved from Tiger Oak. Smoothly openable drawers above cabinet space with original turned knobs. Lovely patina; recently oiled. Excellent condition for age. Unknown provenance; sourced in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. In multiple decades of sourcing antiques, we have never come across a pair of cabinets like these. The workmanship is excellent and to find a pair is quite unusual. We feel they would make great hidden storage in a kitchen or bath, set on top of a larger dresser or countertop. We have often thought they would be great as nightstands with custom bases, or set on top of larger tables, for a bit of hidden storage on a larger surface. They would be great on a console table as well, acting as pedestals for sculptures or florals.
