This striking French coffee table was custom built using two antique wrought iron balcony panels from Provence, circa 1850. The rectangular base features beautifully forged scrollwork, foliate accents, and symmetrical openwork decoration, all elevated on four twisted iron legs with block feet. The original balcony elements give the piece strong architectural character, while the polished steel finish adds depth, texture, and a refined industrial elegance.
The table is fitted with a beveled glass top, allowing the ornate ironwork beneath to remain fully visible. Please note the glass shows scratches and corner chips. The iron base itself is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a polished steel finish with a rich time-softened patina.
