About the Item

Designed in the 1970s by Marcello Gacita and Pierre Tiberi, this French desk or console is a masterclass in balance and form. Its smoked glass top appears to float above a pair of sculptural plexiglass trestles, their curved silhouettes lending a sense of movement and lightness. Chrome hardware punctuates the design, while the interplay of glass and transparent supports creates a look that feels both airy and grounded. Condition: Great vintage condition. The plexiglass bases have been professionally restored by our team of restorationists. The original smoked glass top shows minor marks and scratches throughout. Two decorative bolts have been replaced with standard bolts. The glass top is not affixed to the plexiglass bases.
