About the Item

A fine signed vintage gold and multi-gemstone figural brooch. By Rudi Cherny of the Australian jewelry company 'Altmann + Cherny'. In 18 yellow gold with white diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and rubies. In the form of a bird perched on a branch. The bird itself with a ruby eye, pave-set round cut diamonds in white gold settings to the body, and channel set cushion cut rubies and sapphires in white gold mountings to the tail. The terminal of each branch with a prong-set round cut gemstone (either a ruby, emerald, or sapphire). Secured with a pin and safety catch the reverse. Marked to the reverse. Simply a wonderful signed bird brooch! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
