Victor Mayer Celeste Drop Earrings in 18k Yellow Gold with Two Cushion-Cut Aquamarines, Opalescent Turquoise Guilloché Enamel and 1.20 Carats of Diamonds
Two cushion-cut aquamarines, translucent opalescent turquoise vitreous enamel and brilliant-cut diamonds define these Celeste drop earrings by Victor Mayer. The earrings are handcrafted in 18k yellow gold and combine traditional guilloché and vitreous-enamel techniques with open, articulated gemstone settings.
Each aquamarine measures approximately 16 × 16 × 6.2 mm and is faceted on both the front and reverse, allowing light to enter the gemstone from several directions. Each aquamarine is secured in an open seven-claw setting. Three of the seven claws are each set with one brilliant-cut diamond, giving a total of six diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 1.20 carats, graded G colour and VS clarity.
The aquamarine settings are suspended from round enamelled upper elements and move gently when worn. Each slightly domed enamel bouton measures approximately 12.45 mm in diameter. Beneath the translucent opalescent turquoise vitreous enamel, a guilloché motif creates depth and a subtle play of reflected light. A polished yellow-gold rim frames each enamel element.
Victor Mayer has specialised in traditional jewellery-making techniques since 1890. In its Pforzheim manufactory, vitreous enamel is applied in successive layers and fired at approximately 800 degrees Celsius.
The cool blue of the aquamarines, the opalescent turquoise enamel and the warmth of polished yellow gold create a refined contrast. Their articulated construction introduces gentle movement while preserving the clear geometry of the cushion-cut gemstones and round enamel boutons.
The earrings are supplied in a Victor Mayer jewellery...
